ISC East, in collaboration with premier sponsor, the Security Industry Association(SIA), is set to deliver its comprehensive lineup of keynote speakers, educational programming and special events for ISC East, taking place November 20-21, 2019 at the Jacobs K. Javits Center in New York City. 

ISC East is the Northeast’s largest converged security trade show featuring emerging technology, products and solutions for physical security, IT  security and public safety professionals including dealers, installers, integrators and end-users of security and public safety solutions. More than 7,500 visitors and 300 leading  brands are expected to attend the show.  In-depth programming is provided through SIA Education @ ISC East, covering major industry trends - everything from video surveillance, access control, and biometrics to smart home technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), public safety products and drones & robotics. 

Additionally, for the second year in a row, ISC East will be co-located with Infosecurity ISACA North America in an effort to provide attendees with greater opportunity to connect and learn with their cross-functional security & public safety industry peers and gain the insight needed to defend against advanced and emerging threats.

• Day 1 Keynote: Leveraging Technology to Improve Decision Making: A New Direction in Emergency Management and Disaster Preparedness
  • Deanne Criswell, Commissioner of the New York City Emergency Management Department, will explain how the Department is utilizing technology to make informed, data-driven decisions, while also discussing the strategic vision for the Department and the importance of public-private partnerships.

• Day 2 Keynote: USA Security: FAA Perspectives on Addressing Risks Posed by Errant or Malicious UAS
  • Angela Stubblefield, Chief of Staff at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will speak on behalf of the organization’s holistic approach to UAS security, working across the full spectrum of risk mitigation from prevention to deterrence to detection to response.

  • Physical security penetration testing (often known as red teaming) is a proven strategy of testing physical security controls with the goal of pushing them to failure. In the military, government and in cyber security, this is an accepted and embraced process. his presentation will provide real life stories of past pen test engagements. 

• How Smart Technologies Are Driving Smart Cities
  • This session will examine the smart cities market from a real-world case study perspective and discuss what technologies and processes were instrumental in their success and the future vision for  these markets. 

• Video Analytics - The Next Advance in Secure Access Control 
  • While enormously valuable information can be found in videos, the volume of data makes extraction of this information time-consuming and labor intensive. Video analytics is a technology that harnesses the power of high-speed computing to sort through massive amounts of video content in hours, rather than weeks, and identify faces, objects, license plates, and even movement, based on the parameters applied by system operators.

• Implementing Converged Security, A Process - Bringing It All Together
  • This transformative session will discuss how to perform a Converged Gap Assessment to understand the acceptable level of risk across the areas of Business Operations, Technology, Compliance & Regulations, and Culture.
