Chief Theresa (Terri) Tobin was among the first NYPD officers to respond to the catastrophic events of 9/11, witnessing the absolute devastation caused by the attacks on the Twin Towers and suffering critical injuries. She helped navigate the city's resilient recovery and learned many lessons in leadership through information sharing during times of crisis and reflective conversations with fellow NYPD officers, FDNY, and other public protection agencies. In this keynote presentation, Chief Tobin will recount her lived experience, reflect on the enduring impact of 9/11, and demonstrate the importance of adaptability, resilience, and determination in the face of overwhelming odds.
