ISC East Welcomes Thousands to NYC, Focus on Critical Infrastructure Security

ISC East returned to the Javits Center in New York City recently, marking the most recent installment of the leading security and public safety event in the Northeast. Presented by ISC and premier sponsor the Security Industry Association (SIA), ISC East welcomed nearly 6,000 security professionals to the event—a significant increase over 2023.

In addition to more attendees and exhibitors at the show, the number of educational sessions available through the SIA Education@ISC East program nearly doubled to more than 70 over the conference’s three days.

The education program was highlighted by two standing-room only keynote addresses. On Day 1, Brian Murphy, chief operating officer of Chicago’s Navy Pier related the challenges involved in securing patrons and employees of one of the U.S.’s busiest retail and entertainment complexes. The second day of ISC East featured Anjené Abston, who detailed a circuitous career path and how remaining open to unexpected possibilities can lead to a more fulfilling career.

New additions to the show this year included a special focus on securing our critical infrastructure. Dedicated space on the exhibition floor was set aside for companies serving the transportation, energy, education, chemical and data facilities that make up the interdependent networks and systems that support all life and trade around the world. Several educational sessions on the Bridge Stage were devoted to the subject as well.
